Mwenya’s family still struggling to raise money for repatriation

Over two weeks since the tragic death of a Zambian student in China, the family has so far only raised K30,000 out of the K340,000 needed to repatriate the body to Zambia.

Father of the deceased, Morgan Mwenya, says in a desperate quest to raise funds, the family undertook a fundraising walk with youths of Kapiri Mposhi District that assisted to conduct the procession.

Mr. Mwenya says the family is in dire need of assistance and is hopeful that constant engagement with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Stanley Kakubo, who is also Kapiri Member of Parliament will lead to a solution.
