RTSA CEO and 5 senior staff suspended

Road Transport and Safety Agency RTSA Chief Executive Officer Gladwell Banda and five other senior staff at the agency have been suspended with immediate effect in connection with the registration of over 33,000 vehicles illegally imported.

Minister of Transport and Logistics Frank Tayali said the move has been made following the findings by the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) which established that about 33, 045 registered motor vehicles at RTSA have no matching records of Customs Clearance.

Others suspended are JOSEPH MUMBA – Deputy Director of Transport, BRIAN SIKUTE – Head of Information Communication Technology (ICT), VIVIAN MAPUNDA – Head of Internal Audit,, ALEX MAKA – Manager – Information Communication Technology (ICT) Audit and EVANS MWAMBA – Principal Registration Officer.
