Patriotic Front (PF) National Chairperson for Mobilisation Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba says he has reliable information that the government has instructed the joint investigative team to effect an arrest when he appears before it today around 09:00 hours.
Mr Mwamba has also disclosed that sources have informed him that once an arrest is effected, he will be denied bond until he appears in court on Wednesday.
Mr Mwamba said it has been revealed that the joint investigative team will effect an arrest based on over 20 charges that will be slapped on him.
He said this is strange because people who have been arrested by the joint investigative team have been given bond before appearing in court.
Mr Mwamba said he is aware that people in government want to frustrate him because he ditched them.
Mr Mwamba however says, he is not moved by the decision as he was ready to be spend even a week in police cells.
“My lawyer phoned and sent me a copy when I was in Kasama when they were requesting me to actually come to Lusaka so that I can appear before the Joint Investigative Team today (yesterday) around 09:00 hours but I asked if they can extend it to Thursday or Friday and lawyers said they only wanted me today (yesterday) whether dead or alive.
