BARBRA BANDA FAILED CAF MEDICAL REGULATIONS -FAZ

By Chansa Kunda

Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- says BARBRA BANDA failed to make the final list of players to represent the country after failing to meet certain medical regulations required by Confederation of African Football -CAF.

FAZ Communications Manager SYDNEY MUNGALA says CAF shared tournament medical regulations that all participating teams had to adhere to before the start of the tournament.

MUNGALA says BANDA was among players who failed to meet the regulations.

He told ZNBC News that the FA cannot delve into specifics of BANDA’s medical case because it’s unethical.

But CAF President PATRICE MOTSEPE said he doesn’t know why Shepolopolo BANDA is not taking part at this year’s competition.

Responding to a BBC Africa journalist during a Press Conference, MOTSEPE expressed ignorance over the exclusion of BANDA on “medical reasons” or “gender eligibility grounds from the tournament.
