THE Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) says the adjustment in bus fares will be announced during the course of the week.
RTSA Head Public Relations Fredrick Mubanga says the agency and bus operators have concluded a consultative meeting to consider the proposed adjustment in bus fares following the increase in the fuel pump prices announced by ERB.
“The proposed adjustment in bus fares will be effected after approval by all concerned stakeholders, including the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, therefore the agency will be announcing the proposed changes in bus fares in the course of this week,” he said.
Recently, ERB increased the fuel pump price by 1.8 per litre for petrol and 2.37 for diesel with effect from July 1st, this year.
