Some of the 30,496 teachers recently hired by Government have started collecting their appointment letters in readiness for reporting to their respective places of deployment.
Teaching Service Commission (TSC) chairperson Daphne Chimuka said in an interview yesterday that the educators started getting their letters on Monday this week.
Ms Chimuka said teachers who will not collect their letters up to a specified time frame will be replaced.
“Some of them (hired teachers) are still grappling with police clearance, which is taking long and delaying the process.
“The teachers need to put together about six files, which they have to take to different offices before.
