MAZABUKA CENTRAL WARD COUNCILOR ARRESTED FOR SHISHITA

Mazabuka Central ward Councilor Chrispine Hamangaba was Monday night arrested by Police for SHISHITA at Pop-in Lodge in Mazabuka.

Hamangaba who is said to have refused to comply with the police directive to disperse after he was found drinking with his colleagues around midnight, later on had a confrontation with the police officers.

The UPND Mazabuka Central ward Councilor was then picked by the police officers close to midnight and put in police custody were he spent the night.

Police sources have told Mazfm news that Hamangaba has since been released after dialoguing with police.

Meanwhile, some close friend to the Mazabuka Central ward Councilor have reviewed that the civic leader received a minimum beating after refusing arrest by the officers who were on night patrol.

The source that opted to remain anonymous says Hamangaba complained of body pains and is contemplating taking legal action against the officers.
