Luanshya Central Constituency Member of Parliament, Hon Lusale Simbao has undertaken a developmental tour of the constituency to appreciate the challenges, and outline solutions to various issues.
Mr Simbao visited Five villages and interacted with various stakeholders who included the aged, farmers, youths and women, among others.
The lawmaker interacted with beneficiaries of the Social Cash Transfer, The Food Security Pack and Wetlands Irrigation Programme, and interacted with them on development programmes such as the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Mr Simbao therefore called on the people to take advantage of Government’s political will to access the fund, in order to empower themselves.
He was happy that government’s various developmental programmes have been understood and appreciated by people in his Constituency and pledged to continue his development interactions so that people are on the same page with government’s agenda to deliver national development.
He however regreted that people in wards in control of PF councillors are not fully aware of how they can benefit from the CDF, but assured that he will go flat out to sensitize people on how they can benefit from government’s various developmental programmes and pledged to follow up on the milk processing and hammer mill flagship projects in order to empower the locals.
Mr Simbao assured all the stakeholders he met that the New Dawn Government, under the able leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema, is determined to take development to all corners of the country without leaving anyone behind.
He said he is ready to work with all stakeholders in changing the socioeconomic outlook of Luanshya Central Constituency.
Mr Simbao acknowledged that the Constituency faces a lot of challenges which will require a lot of support and collective commitment to overcome, and said he will work whether or not other wards still belong to the opposition PF.
“Am your servant and am open to all the ideas so let us work together because we want to see a better constituency” he said.
He further said he is alive to the fact that the constituency is in need of good roads and other infrastructural projects which he says are on top of his agenda because he has gotten grip of the constituency.
