THREE MEN RAPE BARTENDER IN MUMBWA

Three men have raped a 39-year-old bartender in Mumbwa District.
Central Province Police Commissioner Mukuka David Chileshe says the incident happened on 27th May 2023 around 21 hours at Water Affairs area while the victim was accompanying the suspects to police to report a case of malicious damage to property.
According to police, the victim while working in the bar noticed a fight among patrons amid accusations that one of them had broken a friend’s phone.
It was at this point that three men demanded to have the matter reported to police and insisted that the bartender accompanies them, but on the way, the men dragged the woman into the nearby bush and took turns to rape her.
One of the suspects has since been apprehended while a manhunt for the others has been launched.
