UKRAINE, ZAMBIA MILITARY RELATIONS ENHANCED

By Buffalo Reporter
Commander Zambia Army, Lieutenant General Sitali Dennis Alibuzwi, says the Zambia Army remains indebted to the people of Ukraine for the various opportunities in training, procurement of equipment, and other aspects.

Lt Gen Alibuzwi says the previous bilateral meeting between President Hakainde Hichilema, Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Force, and Ukrainian President, His Excellency Volodymyr Zelensky, in Kyiv gave him confidence that the relationship between Zambia and Ukraine will further be enhanced.

Lt Gen Alibuzwi made the remarks when Ukraine’s Defence Attaché to Zambia, Colonel Oleh Kvasuik, called on him at Zambia Army Headquarters on December 19, 2023, in Lusaka.

“Our defence forces are open to the exchange of human and material resources to create and maintain collaborative linkages with your country, and it is our wish that our relationship continues to flourish,” Lt Gen Alibuzwi said.

And Col Kvasuik reaffirmed his country’s commitment to advancing the discourse, which will further enhance military relations between the two countries.
