Richard Kachingwe police station faces demolition

NO STRUCTURE, including the Richard Kachingwe Police Station built on the Zambia Railways Limited reserve land in Lusaka’s Libala South, will be spared from demolition.

Zambia Railways Limited public relations manager Caristo Chitamfya says the ruling by the Planning Appeals Tribunal did not spare any structure erected on the parcel of land from destruction.

Mr Chitamfya said the firm will adhere to the ruling on the matter, which was specific.

Last week on Tuesday, tribunal granted Lusaka City Council the go-ahead to demolish structures erected on the reserve land, commonly known as Njanji Commuters.
