Central Province Minister Credo Nanjuwa has urged the clergy to focus more on the message of salvation instead of demanding for money from poor believers, who are promised miracle money and marriages in certain instances.
Mr Nanjuwa said Government is concerned that some clergy have departed from the true message of salvation and basic principles of Christianity.
“Some clergymen have continued to preach about wealth acquisition including claims of miracle money where poor congregants have been promised wealth by pastors and prophets,” he said.
“As if that is not enough, desperate congregants have at times been promised marriages”
