A MARRIED woman who was impregnated by her boyfriend has been ordered to compensate her husband with K6,000 by a local court.
Eglah Mumbi, 26, who admitted having a child with another man said her husband was to blame for her actions.
Mumbi said she wanted to divorce Stanley Mulenga, 36, because their marriage was filled with acrimony.
Mulenga, however, told the court that he still had interest in his wife and wanted the marriage to continue despite her having another man’s child.
Mumbi told the court that she wanted divorce to be granted because the two went to live in different provinces after only two days of marriage and had only lived for 15 days as husband and wife.
Mumbi told the court that after marriage, she went to Western Province and her husband went to Chinsali but when she asked to follow him, he was always hesitant.-
