SIX TEULINGS GIRLS SET TO COMPETE AT REGION 5 YOUTH GAMES IN MALAWI

Six beach volleyball girls from OYDC Zambia who participate in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge are set to compete at the African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5 Youth Games in December to be hosted by Malawi.

Teulings beach volleyball coordinator Isaac Tembo disclosed this during the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge games held on 6 August at the sports facility.

Tembo indicated that OYDC has produced good players of which many are currently in different provinces taking part in various competitions.

In addition, Tembo said three boys from the Teulings league will also make up the team that will be competing in Malawi adding competitions such as the Teulings league are being used to prepare for the upcoming games.

He named some of the girls as Mapalo Mvula, Tionge Nyirenda, Natasha Mulenga, Francina Kafuswe and Christine Bwalya among others.

Meanwhile, OYDC Zambia was a hive of activities as athletes from hockey and basketball thronged the facility to compete in the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge.

Over 500 athletes enjoyed competing with eachother to emerge victorious in their respective sports disciplines.
