ACC nabs Ex-PF commander

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested Lusaka businessman Francis Muchemwa, alias Commander Two, for possession of property worth over K12 million suspected of being proceeds of crime.

Muchemwa, 38, of L/26392/M Silverest, Chongwe and a former Patriotic Front (PF) strongman who exuded a lot of influence at Inter City Bus Terminus, hence the nickname of Commander, has been arrested and charged with five counts of possession of property suspected to be proceeds of crime.

The suspect, who aspired to contest for the position of Lusaka mayor in 2018 and went into hiding after the August 12, 2021 general election results went against the PF, is also accused of failure to comply with the provisions.
