COPPERBELT UNIVERSITY STUDENTS HOLD SOLIDARITY MARCH TO APPRECIATE HH FOR RESTORING MEAL ALLOWANCES
University Students from the Copperbelt and Mukuba Universties, have successfully held a solidarity match in appreciation of President Hakainde Hichilema’s policy direction to restore meal allowances.
The students were lead by CBU President Matakala Matakala and his counterpart, Mukuba University president,Albert Mwansa.
They peacefully, while carrying placards matched from CBU campus to Kitwe Administrative offices and delivered a letter of appreciation to Copperbelt Province Minister, Elisha Matambo.
Through the leadership, the students are motivated and highly appreciative of President Hichilema’s kind consideration of giving them their much needed meal allowance to support their education journey.
And Mr Matambo assured the students that his office is open to support them in every way possible and said he will deliver the letter as a matter of priority.
He said President Hichilema is a leader who is action oriented and walks the talk on issues of development.
Mr Matambo told the students that many things that the head of state promised have come to fruition such as, the increase in the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), free education among others.
The student are happy that the meal allowance issue which brought about a lot of uncertainty is now a thing of the past and deserves comendation.
